Kevin Hollins

Kevin A. Hollins is CEO of Canal Group, a holding company for diversified investments in commercial real estate, private equity, and early-stage investments.  For the ten years prior to co-founding Canal Group, he was involved in numerous commercial real estate developments and acquisitions in the Chicago market; first as a developer with Catellus Development Corporation, then as an officer of Prentiss Properties Trust, a NYSE-listed REIT.

            Mr. Hollins’ commercial development experience includes retail, office, industrial and mixed-use property types; master-planned business parks, and public-to-private adaptive reuse projects.  In the aggregate, Mr. Hollins has been involved in the acquisition and development of over ten million square feet with a total built-out value of over $300 million.  He received the NAIOP Developing Leaders Award in 2007.

            In 2010 Mr. Hollins co-founded Blu Venture Investors, a Northern Virginia-based primary source venture capital firm that has since grown to 25 principals.

            Mr. Hollins is a trustee and Treasurer of the Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital Foundation, a Baltimore pediatric rehabilitation hospital, and a board director at Argo Systems.  He is a member of the NAIOP Family Owned Business Forum, and holds both Bachelors of Business Administration and Masters of Business Administration degrees from Emory University.
